What it enables

  • Search by neighbourhood, stay type, dates, guests, bedrooms, price and amenities.
  • Save and compare up to three homes, with nightly and monthly rates never mixed.
  • Book a short stay in four steps, or send an extended-stay enquiry or viewing request.

My contribution

Brand application, design system, front-end build, GSAP homepage, tests and Cloudflare deployment.

Decisions worth noting

Amenities from the source data

Pools and gyms are always labelled shared, and no home borrows another home’s photograph.

Only IDs in storage

Saved and compared homes persist as a versioned list of IDs; personal details stay in memory.

The journey

  1. Nook Kampala: start with a search
    01

    Start with a search

The hero asks for dates on short stays and an approximate move-in on longer ones, then carries the choice into the results.

  2. Nook Kampala: filter the collection
    02

    Filter the collection

Short stays with a shared pool: filters live in the URL, with chips to remove each one.

  3. Nook Kampala: inspect a home
    03

    Inspect a home

Each property has its own gallery, and amenities say whether they’re shared and whether they’re pictured.

  4. Nook Kampala: prepare a demo reservation
    04

    Prepare a demo reservation

Dates checked against a demo calendar, guest capacity enforced, and the full price — nightly rate × nights plus cleaning — shown from the first step.

Boundaries

The brand and all six properties are fictional. Prices and availability are illustrative and no reservation is sent.
